Celery juice for Gastritis

Celery juice is fantastic for helping heal digestive issues like Gastritis.

Equipment

  • 1 Juicer (if you have one ) OR
  • 1 Muslin cloth
  • 1 Blender or smoothie maker
  • 1 Bowl

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pack Celery sticks (Organic if possible)
  • 1 tbsp Water

Instructions
 

Celery juice with Blender/Smoothie maker

  • Use a whole pack of celery sticks, (Organic if possible) give them a wash, and then chop into bitesize pieces.
  • Pop in the smoothie maker and blitz until smooth with no lumps. Add a little water if it doesnt blend easily.
  • Get a muslin cloth and lay it over a sieve, over a bowl.
  • Next, pour the juice into a sieve, then pick up the muslin cloth and squeeze all the juice out into the bowl.
  • It should make about 16oz of juice, I would start with a bit less than this though, while your stomach adjusts, maybe 10oz to start.

Notes

It’s important not to mix with anything else and needs to be taken first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. Then wait 30 minutes before eating anything.
 
Top tip – If you are tight on time you can chop the Celery the night before, pop it into the blender cup so it’s ready to juice and put it in the fridge, (this saves so much time in the morning!) But it’s best to not actually make the juice the night before as it's better if fresh.
